1st Ecological Rehabilitation Action

In July 2020 Nortaluga joined an environmental responsibility project, launched by the Municipality of Viana do Castelo, for the maintenance and ecological rehabilitation of classified areas in the municipality of Viana do Castelo.

Nortaluga made itself available to care for and rehabilitate the Natural Monument of the Granitic Plateau of Chãs de Santa Luzia, located in the parishes of Freixieiro de Soutelo, Afife, Outeiro, Carreço, Areosa and Perre.
 

Last May 12th, the first rehabilitation action in this area took place, and the Nortaluga team visited the parish of Carreço with the objective of eradicating the invasive species identified in that area.

With a team of 10 people and in just 3 hours, the objective was fulfilled and the entire area defined for the first rehabilitation action was protected from acacia trees.

It is a work that will continue to be developed by the Nortaluga team, we are committed to helping to preserve and rehabilitate our beautiful city.
